Year 13: Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship One (1) Core Paper Student chooses four (4) electives
Core Paper (Compulsory) Entrepreneurship: Starting and Running a Business
This subject is the core of the Business School Programme. As part of their studies, students will choose an industry in which they are interested and then undertake a cadetship/mentoring programme with a CEO in this field.
The students are assessed in this core paper by sitting the internationally recognised Cambridge (CIE) AS Business Studies examination. This paper is officially recognised for University entrance purposes in New Zealand.

Outcomes of the Year 13 Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship Course * OHBS Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship (60 credits minimum) * University Entrance (42 credits from 3 of option papers) * Possibility of University of Auckland Business School Scholarship (domestic students only) * Possible pathway into University of Auckland Business School (80 credits minimum) * Participation in a cadetship/mentoring programme with a CEO * Internationally recognised Cambridge examinations (marked and moderated externally) * Cambridge AS Business Studies - now on NZVCC approved list of subjects for University entrance
