A Tradition of Excellence
Students of the Onehunga High Business School study their core curriculum through Onehunga High School. They wear the same uniform as other Onehunga High School students, (adults wear mufti), they have the same opportunities and access to all the support and extracurricular services that Onehunga High School offers.
Onehunga High School has a long tradition of academic achievement and sporting and cultural excellence. The school developed an emphasis on multiculturalism in the 1980s and is now strongly international, with wide diversity in both the student body and among the teaching staff.

Onehunga High School offers a wide range of support services and resources to its students.
Course Guidance
Knowing which courses to choose can be difficult, especially for students who have to factor in specific tertiary entrance requirements. Course and careers counsellors are available to help students make the choices that will help them achieve their long-term goals.
Career Guidance
Onehunga High School's career guidance counsellor offers comprehensive advice on employment and tertiary choices. Students have access to seminars, brochures, interviews, and a computerised career database, as well as a wide range of information on tertiary qualification prerequisites.
Of course, Onehunga High Business School students also have access to advice from the business leaders who are a key part of the experiential Business School learning style.
Personal Guidance
Students and parents are encouraged to talk to Onehunga High School's guidance team about any issues they may have. The school's counsellors have extensive experience and are trained to deal with a wide range of issues.
Younger students are also encouraged to work with specially trained senior students on all aspects of school life, through a peer support system.
Deans
The school's deans are the key link between school and home. Each dean follows students throughout their time at Onehunga High School, taking responsibility for the progress and welfare of each student.
Resources
To study well, students need access to the right tools. Onehunga High school has four state of-the-art computer labs, a well-resourced library and modern classrooms. The Onehunga High Business School has its own purpose-built wing, with outstanding technological resources including AV equipment and video-conferencing capabilities.
Extra Curricular Activities
Onehunga High School offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to students, including sport, music and drama, visual and performing arts, outdoor education and community activities.
