Course Description: This course is designed for students who have shown a very good understanding of Mathematics in previous years and are likely to continue on with their Mathematics studies at Level 2 and 3. It covers 8 of the Level 1 achievement standards and 4 unit standard credits providing students the opportunity to gain a total of 30 credits at Level 1 in Mathematics.
Pre-requisite: In consultation with the student teachers will recommend Year 11.
Materials Fee: NIL
Other Costs: $15 to cover the cost of a write-on homework book.
This course may lead to: Course Level 2 MAT – with at least 12 AS credits from the externals (these must include the Algebra Achievement Standard) and 8 internal credits.
Course Level 2 MAS – with at least 10 achievement standard credits from the externals (these must include the Algebra achievement standard) and 8 internal credits.
Course Level 2 MCO – less than 8 achievement standard credits from the externals but at least 10 credits gained.

Course Description: This course is designed for students who have shown a reasonable understanding of Mathematics in previous years. It covers 6 of the 9 achievement standards available at Level 1 together with 4 unit standards providing students the opportunity to gain a total of 26 credits at Level 1 in Mathematics.
Pre-requisite: In consultation with the student teachers will recommend Year 11
Materials Fee: $15 for the purchase of a write-on homework book
Other Costs: Nil
This course may lead to: Course Level 2 MAS – with at least 10 AS credits from the externals (these must include the Algebra AS) and 6 internal credits.
Course Level 2 MCO – less than 8 AS credits from the externals.

Course Description: This course aims to teach basic mathematical skills. It is designed for students who would find Level 1 Mathematics achievement standards difficult but want to gain both numeracy requirements. The course is based around 9 unit standards, which if achieved, allow students to gain a total of 22 credits at Level 1. All unit standards are assessed internally.
Pre-requisite: In consultation with the student teachers will recommend Year 11
Materials Fee: $15 to cover the cost of a write-on homework book.

This course may lead to: Course L1 MAPB – must have 10 credits and/or teacher's recommendation and HOD approval.
Course L1 MAPA – less than 6 credits and/or teacher recommendation.

Course Description: This course is intended for students who wish to continue their mathematics education to help gain credits for their overall credits at Level 1. The course is based around 9 Unit Standards, which if achieved, allow students to gain a total of 22 credits at Level 1 and potentially some at Level 2. All Unit Standards are assessed internally.
Pre-requisite: At least 10 credits from Level 1 MAP as well as teacher recommendation and HOD approval.
Materials Fee: $15 to cover the cost of a write-on homework book

Course Description: This course is designed for students who have shown a very good understanding of Mathematics from the previous year and are likely to continue on with their Mathematics studies at Level 3. It covers 7 out of the 9 Level 2 achievement standards and will lead to Level 3 Mathematics with Calculus or Level 3 Statistics and Modelling.
Pre-requisite: At least 12 Level 1 achievement standard credits from the externals (these must include the Algebra achievement standard) and 8 Level 1 internal credits and HOD approval.

Course Description: This course is designed for students who are capable mathematicians and have achieved the majority of the Level 1 achievement standards but wish to apply their mathematics to the area of data collection and analysis. It covers all the necessary background for students wishing to take Level 3 Statistics and Modelling including achievement standards in Algebra and Graphs.
Pre-requisite: Must have at least 10 Level 1 achievement standard credits from the externals (these must include the Algebra achievement standard) and 6 internal credits and HOD approval

Course Description: This course is designed for students who have completed 11MXB or 11MXA but have achieved fewer than 16 credits. It is made up of four Level 1 achievement standards and three Level 1 unit standards. The achievement standards in this course are the Level 1 standards which were not in the 11MXB course. This course is aimed towards those who have found mathematics challenging in earlier years but have been able to succeed given more time and a slower pace of work.
Pre-requisite: Fewer than 8 achievement standard credits from the externals but at least 10 Level 1 credits in total from Level 1 MAT or Level 1 MCO. To get from Level 1 MAP students will need to have achieved 16 or more unit standard credits.
