Year 13 Geography develops the ideas covered in Years 11 and 12 to enable the student to understand the natural and cultural processes that shape the world they live in. Skills developed are problem solving, decision making, research and fieldwork techniques and computer analysis. The course involves the study of: * Natural processes, eg. Coastal processes at Muriwai. * Cultural processes, eg. Tourism development in Rotorua and Bali. * Select and apply skills in a geographic context.
This course will involve a one day field trip to Muriwai in Term 1 and a three day field trip to Rotorua in Term 3. |
