Important Dates for the out of zone ballot

Application closing date – Wednesday 2 September 2026
Ballot date – Wednesday 9 September 2026.
The outcome of the ballot will be communicated within three days of it taking place.

Each year we have a limited number of out-of-zone places determined by the Board of Trustees. Places are allocated via a ballot system.

To be entered into the 2026 ballot for a 2027 enrolment, complete the application process detailed below, using the online enrolment procedure as in-zone students, except you do not need to provide the in-zone statutory declaration. Please note that incomplete applications will NOT be processed.

Priority groups are prescribed by legislation and set out in our Enrolment Scheme

First Priority: This priority category is not applicable at this school because the school does not run a special programme approved by the Secretary.
Second Priority: Will be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
Third Priority: Will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
Fourth Priority: Will be given to applicants who are children of a former student of the school
Fifth Priority: Will be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the board of the school or a child of a member of the board of the school
Sixth Priority: Will be given to all other applicants.

If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Schedule 20 of the Education and Training Act 2020. Parents will be informed of the date of any ballot by notice in mediums appropriate to the area served by the school.
