Congratulations to Magdalene Ieremia-Apelu 13Dw and TJ Gaogao 13Lu who have been awarded scholarships to attend the POCE, Pacific On Campus Experience at Otago University.

 As recipients of a POCE scholarship Magdalene and TJ will join other winners from throughout New Zealand at the end of May to learn more about the courses on offer and experience life on campus.

They will fly to Dunedin to attend Otago University open days’, visit academic departments within the Health Science Faculty, meet the staff that support Pacific students and talk to current students. Their expenses including flights, accommodation, meals and activities are paid for!

This wonderful opportunity is designed to encourage Pacific students to study in the Health Sciences at Otago and to help students transition from secondary school to university.
