Level 2 Media students are immersed in Horror as a genre this year. A visit to Spookers theme park on a Friday night focused their attention and proved inspirational.

 Students' are examining films that are designed to frighten and shock us, that bring fear into our hearts, yet captivate and entertain us. They are exploring the techniques used to generate fear and are producing their own horror film trailers.

The visit to Spookers theme park was invaluable in developing their understanding of the genre before they sit their NCEA exam. Students also had the opportunity to hear from Spookers' staff about the inner workings of this popular attraction.

A spooky time was had by all!
