OHS is thrilled to welcome Mr. Scott Thomson to our staff.

Scott, who is teaching in the Technology Department, has a master's degree in Architecture, and 8 years of industry experience working as an Architect. Wanting a change he has decided to join the teaching profession, hoping to use his skills to make a positive impact on his students.

Scott also brings an impressive record as an athlete. He began athletics as a five-year-old, however, it wasn’t until he left school that he began to train seriously and has subsequently had a lot of success as a high jumper and particularly in the triple jump. Scott has represented New Zealand in the triple jump at the Oceania Championships twice and the 2023 Pacific Games. Most recently Scott won the Auckland Centre Championships and will compete in the National Championships in March.

We are delighted to have Scott join us to inspire both our athletes and Design students.
