For the first time, OHS entered both our senior boys' and girls' teams into the regional 3x3 tournament in the Premier grade, competing against the best teams in Auckland.

 Despite limited preparation time and the absence of key players due to other tournaments, our teams displayed remarkable resilience in a series of challenging matchups.

The boys' team, composed mostly of Year 12 players, came within a single point of top schools like Rangitoto and Saint Kentigern, delivering competitive performances throughout the tournament and ultimately finishing 14th.

The girls' team faced tough and experienced opposition but improved with each game. They saved their best performance for last, securing a decisive victory over Epsom Girls’ Grammar, who had beaten them earlier in the competition, to finish 7th overall.

Opposing teams and coaches took notice of our players' impressive skills, earning them well-deserved respect. This strong showing provides a great foundation for the upcoming regular season and sets the stage for even greater success next year.
