INAUGRUAL PARTICIPATION IN RELAY FOR LIFE FOR OHS

INAUGRUAL PARTICIPATION IN RELAY FOR LIFE FOR OHS

Great effort for Service Council to raise funding towards Cancer Society through Relay for Life event.

For the first time, Onehunga High School took part in Relay for Life, with seven dedicated students representing the school through the Service Council. Jacob Cooper, Emerson Rockell, Jessica De Silva, Serah Ogunbunmi, Lita Nguyen, Reese Kilpatrick, and Jasmine Swords all gave up their Saturday to support the Cancer Society and raise awareness for those affected by cancer. The team showed outstanding commitment, walking and running in shifts throughout the day. Together, we raised over $1500 — a great achievement for their first time participating. Despite the wet weather, the group stayed positive and brought energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork to every lap. Their efforts showed real integrity and service to the community. Well done to all involved for setting a strong foundation for future OHS teams.
