Six OHS students participated in the Auckland Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships in the Waiuku Forest North.

 The map ran through the cutty-grass, pine, and sand-dune landscape typical of this area.  Although relatively new to the sport, most runners entered at championship grade level, and perseverance paid off, with everyone completing their course with no mis-punches. 

Xavier White achieved a Silver medal for OHS in the Intermediate Boys Championship grade.  

Congratulations to Xavier and to Shea Mendis, Ren Sugahara, Ollie Ren, Louie Gould and Maya Mendis, who all successfully completed this long course.
