Students impressed with a lively and well-prepared performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
After school on Wednesday, the Year 10 Drama students took to the stage to perform selected extracts from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The performance marked the culmination of several weeks of dedicated preparation, during which students explored the language, characters, and themes of one of Shakespeare’s most enduring comedies.
Guided by their Drama teacher, Ms Coogan, the students have been developing their understanding of Shakespearean dialogue and stagecraft, building both confidence and collaboration along the way. Their commitment to the rehearsal process and growing mastery of the text were clearly evident in the polished and engaging performances delivered on the day.
From the expressive delivery of lines to the creative use of costume and movement, each student brought energy and personality to their role. It was a delight to see their interpretation of Shakespeare’s work come alive with humour, clarity, and enthusiasm.
Congratulations to all involved on a thoroughly impressive showcase of talent and effort.
