The OHS Kapa Haka group delivered absolutely magnificent performances at the full school assembly yesterday, leaving the audience in awe.

Words such as “stunning,” “powerful,” “moving,” and “memorable” were used to describe a performance that truly captivated everyone present. It was a powerful expression of the strength and beauty of Te Ao Māori, brought to life through the students’ passion, and commanding presence on stage.

As part of the Matariki celebrations, the group also visited Te Papapa, Onehunga, and Waterlea Primary Schools, where they were warmly received. The younger students and their teachers were equally impressed by the mana and talent our students displayed.
