Michaela Mitchell is a high achieving Year 12 student and inspiring role model with a passion for science and academic excellence.

Michaela is a high achieving student and an active member of the OHS community. In 2024, she passed NCEA Level 1 with an Excellence endorsement and has achieved all her NCEA Level 2 credits at Excellence level this year. She has a strong passion for science and plans to apply to study Biomedicine at university.

A proud former student of Royal Oak Intermediate and Mangere Bridge Schools, Michaela is a member of the Academic Council and plays an active role in supporting other students to succeed, both through the after school study space and by offering personal tutoring.

Michaela is a fantastic role model who attributes her success to hard work and the support of her teachers. Last week, she was also awarded the LAC Platinum Badge and the Academic Gold Badge.
