The Junior Boys Football teams have enjoyed a highly successful first half of the season.
Both the A and B squads remain unbeaten and currently top their respective league tables. The only loss so far came in the quarter-finals of the Year 9 Cup.
The Football Academy trains twice a week, and the players' hard work and commitment are clearly reflected in their strong performances and results. Many of our students also represent local clubs such as Onehunga Sports and Onehunga Mangere, further developing their skills.
The future of football at Onehunga High School looks bright, both in the short and long term. We would like to thank all parents for their ongoing support and encouragement.
Looking ahead to Term 3, we are excited to welcome former OHS First XI centurion Max Frear in a strength and conditioning role. Max, currently completing his studies in Auckland after transferring from Otago University, brings a wealth of experience. In 2024, he became one of the youngest coaches to win the Men’s Southern Premier League with Mosgiel.
