Congratulations Liam Herbert – selected for Auckland Blue in the national U16 Ice Hockey League

Liam Herbert has been selected to represent Auckland Blue in the New Zealand U16 Ice Hockey League, the premier national competition for under 16 players.

Liam has been playing ice hockey for just two years and already competes at an elite level. His rapid development is the result of tremendous commitment and discipline, training six times a week while balancing his schoolwork and other responsibilities.

The league is contested by six regional teams, each playing ten games before heading into playoffs. All matches are hosted at the Dunedin Ice Stadium, with Round 1 from 1 to 4 July and Round 2 from 23 to 26 September.

We are proud of Liam’s achievement and wish him all the best as he takes the ice against the best young players in Aotearoa.
