During her time at Youth Parliament 2025, Year 13 student Madeleine showed strong leadership and community focus. As Youth MP for Maungakiekie, she cochaired a select committee exploring how the education system can better support Pacific learners.

Madeleine prepared by meeting with local schools, the Maungakiekie Youth Council, and Pasifika parents to gather real insights. In Wellington, she spoke in the debating chamber, questioned Ministers, and worked alongside Youth MPs from across the country.

Her contributions reflected a commitment to equity and youth voice. Onehunga High School is proud of the way Madeleine represented her community and kura.
