A group of L2BIO and L3BIO students has put themselves forward to represent the school in the New Zealand International Biology Olympiad.
This is a two-hour exam that is sat at school under formal exam supervision. Students' thinking skills and ability to understand and apply supplied biological information are tested. They need to have a wide range of knowledge, including cell structure and function, ecology, plant anatomy & physiology, animal anatomy & physiology and genetics and evolution!
Participating students have been studying hard to prepare for the exam, which is an excellent extension activity for those students wishing to gain excellence in NZQA exams.
We commend these students for taking the opportunity to challenge themselves academically to achieve excellence and strive to fulfil their full potential.
