The Girls’ Football team ended their season in style, securing third place in APC Division 2 with a convincing 2–0 win over Northcote. 

In addition to their APC success, the team also performed admirably in the Senior A1 competition, finishing 6th overall and losing only four games throughout the season. Week by week, the girls showed consistent improvement, with a strong focus on enjoying the game and working cohesively as a team.

One of the standout moments of the season came in the APC competition when the team triumphed over Macleans College, a Premier Division side, in an unforgettable match. That momentum carried through to the semi-final, where the girls held Avondale to a 1–1 draw until the final minute of the game, showing just how far they had come since an earlier 3–0 loss to them earlier in the season.

It’s been a season full of growth, resilience, and team spirit. We’re proud of what the girls have achieved and are excited to see how they build on this strong foundation next year. Well done, team!
