On Tuesday 19 August, a selection of Year 12 students attended Te Noho Kotahitanga Marae on the Unitec Campus for a Leadership Diversity Day.
After a Powhiri, students were mixed with students from other Auckland Schools to reflect on what leadership means to them. Students were then asked to discuss the topics - "How can we preserve the environment of Aotearoa New Zealand for future generations" and "How can Aotearoa New Zealand ensure that everyone has enough to live a good life"
Onehunga High School students were very active participants in the discussions and often spoke on behalf of their groups to the whole audience. Special commendation for Tali Feu'u who spoke on behalf of all the schools and their students at the Powhiri.
