Congratulations to our senior Theatresports team, who came away with an impressive win in a sudden-death decider at Avondale College this week.

With all three schools, OHS, St Kentigern, and Avondale, locked in a tie, the final round was full of suspense for the audience, who were all hoping for their team to prevail. We were delighted when OHS was the last team standing.

Reese Kilpatrick, Stella Mahy, Emerson Rockell, and Elsie Woodward showed great skill on the night.  Each game was scored across three categories: Entertainment, Storytelling, and Techniques. Theatresports requires spontaneity, communication, and teamwork, along with the confidence to take risks and adapt quickly to the action on the stage. Our students did a great job and were hugely entertaining.

 It was particularly heart-warming to witness the goodwill and camaraderie among all the teams, who clearly have a great respect for one another.

We look forward to the final of the Festival competitions.
