The Senior Boys Basketball team recently competed in the AA Premiership Zone 1 Tournament.

 This is a highly competitive tournament featuring some of the strongest teams across Auckland as they look to qualify for the NZSS National Championships. Under the guidance of Coach Ray Lavea and manager Elliot Moka, the team demonstrated resilience and skill, resulting in several closely contested games against higher-ranked opponents.

The team ultimately finished 19th out of 28 participating schools, a commendable position that exceeded expectations. The team finished 5th in Pool B with wins over De La Salle College and Howick College before heading into the play-offs. A highlight of the tournament was a dominant victory over Waitākere College to close out the tournament, showcasing the team’s potential and competitive spirit.

Key players contributed significantly to the team’s performance, with Tyler Tahapeehi-Litaio emerging as the top scorer. The team’s strong effort earned them considerable respect and valuable experience, which will serve as a solid foundation for future competitions.
