Musicians Represent OHS With Pride.

Musicians Represent OHS With Pride.

Each year, more than 1,000 students from over 50 Auckland secondary schools take part in a celebration of the arts, performing in the ‘Stand Up Stand Out’ competitions across 12 events in five categories: Solo Vocal, Group Vocal, Solo Instrumental, Band, and Dance.

This annual showcase provides a platform for young artists to display their creativity, refine their skills, and build confidence in front of a live audience. It inspires students to express themselves while representing their schools, whānau and communities with pride.

Congratulations to Cleo Milne 11Kn and Samuel Shah 12Wd, who delivered outstanding solo instrumental performances recently at Te Oro Performing Arts Centre in Glen Innes. Both chose to perform their own improvisations and original compositions on the electric bass; something the judges noted as a first for the competition. Their creativity and talent are truly impressive, and we are proud of them for taking this opportunity to represent OHS and showcase their talent.
