Lisa and Sarah Hellyer proudly competed for New Zealand at the Australian Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships on the Gold Coast.

Lisa and Sarah Hellyer have capped off their 2025 cross country season by competing in the Australian Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships on the Gold Coast. Running in the 16 to 17 year Girls competition as part of the New Zealand Secondary Schools team, both produced strong performances on a demanding course. Sarah finished 6th overall in a time of 14:38 minutes, while Lisa placed 11th in 14:53 minutes. Their results helped New Zealand secure five of the top ten positions in a highly competitive field.

Earlier in the fortnight the sisters also ran in the NZSSAA Road Relay Championships on the Farm Cove section of the Rotary Walkway. Representing the Auckland Senior Girls Relay team, they claimed first place in the 4 x 2000m event with a winning time of 33:01 minutes.
