Our first Junior Ki o Rahi team made a confident and successful start at the Auckland Schools Championships, finishing with four wins from five in pool play.

Congratulations to our first Junior Ki o Rahi team who made an excellent start to their secondary school sporting journey at the Auckland Schools Junior Championships held at McManus Park in Ōtāhuhu.

While there were some early nerves, these quickly disappeared as the team found their rhythm, winning four of their five pool games and finishing second overall on points difference. They continued their strong form in the play offs, securing a close win over Manurewa High School before meeting a tough Te Kura Kaupapa ā Rohe o Māngere side in the fifth place play off.

The team can be proud of their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day, especially knowing they defeated the eventual third place team, Papakura High School, during pool play.
