Ms. Reid brings pastoral leadership and a wealth of experience to the Year 9 cohort.
We are pleased to welcome Ms Jessica Reid as our new Year 9 Dean at Onehunga High School.
Ms Reid joins us from Macleans College, where since 2018 she has been a member of the Health and Physical Education department, working with students across both junior and senior year levels. This breadth of experience has given her a strong understanding of the expectations, structures, and support students require as they progress through secondary school.
During her time at Macleans College, Ms Reid also held leadership responsibilities, including overseeing Level 2 Physical Education. In this role, she was involved in programme planning and assessment processes and contributed to whole school events and co curricular activities. These experiences have strengthened her ability to build connection, clarity, and consistency across a year level.
In her new role, Ms Reid will lead the Year 9 cohort and work closely with kaitiaki teachers to provide clear direction and support, establishing a strong and steady foundation as students begin their secondary school journey. Ms Reid looks forward to working alongside students, staff, and whānau, and to supporting a strong start for each learner as they begin their five year journey at Onehunga High School.
We warmly welcome her to our school community and wish her every success in this important role.
