Onehunga High School is once again alive as students return for what promises to be another successful year.
The transition from summer holidays to the classroom has been remarkably smooth; students have already settled into their routines and are beginning work on the curriculum.
We would encourage every student to take ownership of their journey. Now is the perfect time to set academic goals, whether it’s mastering a new language, excelling in the sciences, or learning a new skill, having a clear target is the first step toward excellence.
However, success at OHS isn't just about academic success. To truly thrive, students are encouraged to immerse themselves in the life of the school. Joining a sports team, a cultural group, or a lunchtime club is more than just an extracurricular activity, it's the fastest way to forge friendships and build a genuine sense of belonging.
By balancing academic focus with school spirit, every student can ensure 2026 is a year of growth, connection, and achievement.
