Top-performing students were celebrated as the school recognised outstanding NCEA Merit and Excellence achievements.
On Wednesday 4 March 2026, the school held its annual Excellence Assembly to recognise students who achieved at the highest levels in NCEA. Students, families, and staff gathered to celebrate academic success and acknowledge the strong results achieved by the school in recent years. The assembly recognised students whose work across the year reached the highest standards within the national qualification system.
The event honoured students who gained Merit and Excellence endorsements in NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3. An endorsement is awarded when a student achieves at least 50 credits at Merit or Excellence level during the year. This recognises students who consistently produce work above the Achieved standard across a range of subjects and assessments.
In her address, Principal Hayat congratulated students on their achievements and acknowledged the high standard required to gain endorsement at Merit and Excellence level. She noted that these endorsements reflect consistent performance across many assessments and demonstrate students’ ability to meet demanding national standards.
Students recognised at the assembly demonstrated a strong academic focus and the ability to produce work of a high standard across multiple subjects. The school community is proud of their achievements and the example they set for other students.
