OHS Dominate Liston College to Stay Unbeaten Heading Into Season Finale

OHS 1stX1 put on a clinical display of cricket this week, securing a comprehensive victory over Liston College.

OHS 1st X1 put on a clinical display of cricket this week, securing a comprehensive victory over Liston College. After winning the toss and electing to bowl—a decision that proved inspired—OHS set the tone early with an exceptional performance in the field.

They say catches win matches, and OHS proved the adage true. The highlight of the innings was a "catch of the season" contender from Manuka Perera, who pocketed a screamer on the boundary, stunning the opposition. Backed by superb fielding the bowling attack kept the pressure high and the run rate low, eventually seeing Liston bundled out for 108 runs in just 16 overs.

When OHS came into bat, they went on to chase down the 109-target in the 10th over, finishing the game with time to spare.

Zachary King finished with a commanding 53 not out; yet to lose his wicket this season, and amassing 108 runs across four matches.

Next week they travel to Waitakere College, looking to clinch the Senior B grade title - come along and support our 1st X1 in the season finale!
