The dance studio at Onehunga High School was buzzing with an electric energy on Tuesday
OHS Dance teacher Katelyn Coogan even found it hard to stay on the sidelines yesterday!
Renowned dance tutor Richie Cesan led our Levels 1 & 2 students through their first Hip Hop masterclass. The classes will continue all year, and he plans to encourage them to expand their skill set, boost their confidence, and deepen their appreciation for the art of dance.
Richie is well-known throughout schools in the Auckland region for his teaching skills and infectious enthusiasm. He spent three years at Onehunga High, championing the Vodafone ‘Move It’ campaign across Auckland and inspiring a generation of young performers.
As an instructor, Richie demonstrates versatility with a background in a variety of dance styles, including Tap and Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, and Cultural Dance.
Our students were unanimous in their praise of Richie: ”Loved his enthusiasm”…and “Can’t wait until the next lesson!”
