Strong contributions across the squad set the tone ahead of the upcoming Sydney tour.

On Saturday, our OHS Football Boys’ 1st XI hosted Gisborne Boys' High School for the second year running, continuing what is fast becoming a special annual fixture between the two schools.

Gisborne made the long six-hour journey from the East Coast to Auckland, and we greatly appreciate their commitment in making the match happen once again.

On the field, our boys delivered an outstanding team performance. Jacob Hawkins led the way with a hat-trick, while Ryan Cooper, Wiremu Bernard, and Luke Kilpatrick each added to the scoreboard to secure a convincing 6–1 win. Special mention goes to Ethan Freeman, Toren Paston, and Jake McSkimming for their excellent contributions throughout the match.

The game was played in great spirit, reflecting the respect between both teams. It was fantastic to see the Gisborne players make a full day of football, heading on to the Auckland FC game later that evening.

This match marked the third warm-up game for our Boys’ and Girls’ 1st XI teams as they prepare for their upcoming football tour to Sydney over the Easter break, an exciting opportunity ahead.
