Kūmara Harvest Delivers Bumper Crop

Kūmara Harvest Delivers Bumper Crop

Enviro-club students harvest a successful kūmara crop for use in Food and Hospitality.

Our Enviro-club students have been harvesting their kūmara crop, with a great yield now heading to the Food and Hospitality kitchens next door.

The kūmara were first propagated and planted in 2025 by Year 12 student Nathan Marshall, alongside the Enviro-club team. This season’s harvest has produced a strong crop, reflecting the work put in along the way.

It’s a clear example of the garden in action, with fresh, student-grown produce now being used in the kitchen.
