Dionne Carnachan, Eloise Kerr and Tere Te Tini earn national selection at Under 16 level.
It is a pleasure to share the recent success of three Onehunga High School students who have been selected to represent New Zealand Secondary Schools at Under 16 level.
Year 11 students and Girls 1st XI players Dionne Carnachan and Eloise Kerr have been named in the NZSS U16 Girls Football team, travelling to Melbourne during the July school holidays for training and matches. Tere Te Tini has also been selected for the NZSS U16 Boys team, which will travel to Malaysia.
These selections recognise the time and effort both students and staff have put into developing football at OHS. Dionne and Eloise have consistently shown strong performance and commitment, earning their place at this level.
Dionne brings pace and creativity as a winger, with the ability to use both feet and a strong eye for goal. Eloise is a reliable defender, known for her composure and ability to challenge opposition attackers.
All three students now have the opportunity to represent both their school and New Zealand on an international stage.
