Five teams in action with impressive wins across the grades to open the season.

The Onehunga High School boys football season kicked off over the weekend, with all five teams in action and a strong set of results across the board.

This year sees the addition of two new teams, reflecting the growing number of students keen to take part in football. Both teams made an excellent start. The new Under 13 team secured a 4 to 1 win away at St Peters College, while the Under 15 team delivered a dominant 6 to 0 victory at home against Mount Albert Grammar School.

The Under 14 sides also impressed, with both teams recording 4 to 0 wins. The A team defeated One Tree Hill College at home, and the B team won convincingly away to Otahuhu College.

On Friday afternoon, the senior first team faced Mt Roskill Grammar School in a hard fought local derby, going down 3 to 1.

A positive start to the season, with plenty to build on across all teams.
