From 19–21 June, Onehunga High School students will take part in the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to raise funds for families in the Solomon Islands affected by food insecurity and climate change.
Students can choose their own 40-hour challenge, whether it is giving something up, completing an activity, or challenging themselves in a creative way, while raising sponsorships and donations throughout the event.
Funds raised will help provide families in the Solomon Islands with practical support such as seeds, farming tools, and agricultural training to help them grow sustainable food sources and improve long-term food security.
The challenge is also an opportunity for students to show leadership, compassion, and active global citizenship while making a positive impact beyond our school community.
