Buwaneshi Acharige has been recognised for her contribution to the school community through service, leadership, and academic commitment.

Buwaneshi Acharige is a Y12 student at Onehunga High School who consistently demonstrates kindness, reliability, and a willingness to support others. She regularly contributes to school activities and is always prepared to help where needed.

Through her ongoing service, Buwaneshi has earned an impressive number of points towards her Student Volunteer Army badges, reflecting her strong commitment to supporting both the school and wider community. Alongside her volunteering, Buwaneshi also continues to achieve academically. After gaining a Merit Endorsement last year, she is currently on track to achieve this again.

Buwaneshi represents the school’s WAKA values through her actions and positive contribution to school life.
