Congratulations to M.O.A. on Reaching the Smokefree Rockquest Auckland Finals

Congratulations to M.O.A. on Reaching the Smokefree Rockquest Auckland Finals

M.O.A. has made the top 12 bands in Auckland and will perform in the Auckland Central Finals on 5 June.

Onehunga High School band M.O.A. has progressed through the Smokefree Rockquest heats and into the Auckland Central Finals for 2026. From 68 bands across Auckland, they were selected as one of the top 12 bands to continue in the competition, which is a fantastic achievement.

The band members are Alexandra Lindsay, Toren Paston, Xavier Nakatsuji, Arlo Gould, and Liam Herbert. Their performance of original music showed confidence, creativity, and strong musicianship, and they represented the school with pride.

Smokefree Rockquest gives young musicians the opportunity to perform original music in front of live audiences and judges from the music industry. Reaching the Auckland Central Finals is a fantastic achievement. The Auckland Central Finals will be held on Friday 5 June at the Dorothy Winstone Centre at Auckland Girls Grammar School.

Congratulations to M.O.A. and best wishes for the finals.
