Strong, evenly matched teams produced a close competition, with first place shared at the finish.
Royal Oak Intermediate brought their students to play in a house futsal competition in the OHS gym. Year 9 football academy students at OHS planned the competition, including providing coaches, referees, warm up facilitators and collating the results.
Forty Royal Oak students took part and after some competitive games Buchanan and Binsted houses could not be split as they both had 7 points, 9 goals scored and a goal difference of plus 7. They were both declared joint first. Jordan house came 3rd and Grainger were 4th.
We look forward to next Wednesday, when Royal Oak will walk their girls' futsal teams down to OHS for another house competition. These competitions act as the service assessment component of the OHS Year 9 football academy class.
