The Drama Department presents a post-apocalyptic reimagining of Shakespeare’s Macbeth on 26 and 27 June.
Tickets are now on sale for the Onehunga High School Drama Department’s upcoming senior production of Macbeth.
Performed by the senior drama classes, this production presents a post-apocalyptic reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy. Set in a lawless wasteland shaped by scarcity, environmental decay, and paranoia, the play explores ambition, power, survival, and the consequences of tyranny.
Audiences will be taken into a world where society has collapsed and humanity clings to survival inside fortified ruins. From this harsh landscape, Macbeth is drawn into a desperate pursuit of power after hearing the prophecies of wasteland outcasts.
Performances will be held in the School Hall on Friday 26 June and Saturday 27 June 2026, both starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are $16.58 each, including booking fees, and can be purchased online or by phone through 0800 BUY TIX.
This fast-paced production offers an intense and engaging interpretation of Macbeth, brought to life by the talent and commitment of Onehunga High School’s senior drama students.
