Congratulations to Year 9 Cayden Dooley on Gold at the Auckland Regional Taekwon-Do Championships

Cayden's success at the regional championships has earned him a place in the Counties Manukau team as he prepares for Nationals later this year.

Congratulations to Year 9 student Cayden Dooley, who recently won gold at the Auckland Regional Taekwon-Do Championships.

Competing in his sparring division, Cayden produced a strong performance to claim the gold medal. He trains twice a week with Dragons Spirit Taekwondo Papatoetoe and continues to develop his skills through his commitment to the sport.

One of the highlights of the competition came in the gold medal match, where Cayden faced a good friend and fellow Dragons Spirit club member. Competing against someone he knows well made for a memorable contest for both athletes.

Following his regional success, Cayden has been selected to train with the Counties Manukau Taekwon-Do team. He will soon begin additional Sunday training sessions as he prepares for the National Championships in Hamilton at the end of August.

Congratulations, Cayden, on this fantastic achievement. We wish you all the best as you continue your preparation for Nationals.

Ka mau te wehi, Cayden!
