Week 7 Waka Award: Year 9 Student Viruni Leads by Example and making her mark.

Viruni is a motivated, hardworking student who exemplifies Onehunga High School’s values in both her learning and character.

Since joining Onehunga High School at the beginning of the year, Year 9 student Viruni has made a strong impression through her dedication to learning and the positive example she sets for others. Viruni is a diligent and hardworking student who consistently gives her best in the classroom. Her teachers regularly recognise her motivation, willingness to learn, and the high standards she sets for herself.

She is respectful, polite, and demonstrates integrity in all situations. Viruni comes prepared to class each day and takes every opportunity to improve her learning. She actively seeks feedback from her teachers and is always willing to put in the extra effort to strengthen her understanding and skills.

Viruni's commitment to her learning, combined with the way she consistently demonstrates our school values, has seen her quickly make her mark at Onehunga High School. She is a valued member of our kura and a worthy recipient of the Week 7 Waka Award.
