Congratulations on achieving championship success at the Bridge Park Tennis Club Championships.
Holly Barrett and Alexi Herrold achieved impressive results at the recent Bridge Park Tennis Club Championships in Auckland.
Holly won the Singles Club Championship, a result that was particularly meaningful after finishing as runner-up for the previous four years. After coming close on several occasions, she was pleased to finally secure the title. Tennis has been part of Holly's life since she was nine years old, when her poppa encouraged her to take up the sport to help develop her hand-eye coordination. Since then, she has continued to train regularly and has developed a genuine love for the game. Alongside her sporting commitments, Holly is in the accelerate enrichment Programme. She enjoys the challenge the programme provides and has a particular interest in Drama and the Performing Arts.
Holly and Alexi also combined to win the Doubles Club Championship. Their partnership proved successful throughout the tournament, with the pair taking out the doubles title together. In addition to winning the doubles championship, Alexi was recognised with the club's Sportsmanship Award.
Alexi first started playing tennis at the age of six. After taking a break from the sport, she returned to tennis last year and quickly rediscovered her enjoyment of the game. She particularly enjoys the competitive side of tennis and the challenge of testing herself against other players.
Congratulations to Holly and Alexi on their achievements at the Bridge Park Tennis Club Championships.
