Congratulations to Year 11 students Eloise Kerr and Dionne Carnachan, who are proudly representing New Zealand on the NZ Secondary Schools Girls' U16 Football Development Tour to Melbourne.
What a fantastic start for Eloise and Dionne, with the New Zealand Secondary Schools Girls' U16 team opening their Melbourne tour with a commanding 8–1 victory over Melbourne Victory Academy.
Representing New Zealand is an outstanding achievement and a testament to the dedication, skill, and commitment both students have shown throughout their football journeys. The week-long tour provides the opportunity to train and compete against quality Melbourne opposition, helping them further develop their game while proudly wearing the silver fern.
Beyond the football, the team has also enjoyed the experience of touring together, including watching the FIFA World Cup on the big screen at their hotel. Everyone at Onehunga High School is incredibly proud of Eloise and Dionne. We wish them every success for the remainder of the tour and look forward to following their achievements in the New Zealand jersey.
