Year 11 students develop new skills through lawn bowls.
Our three Year 11 Physical Education classes recently visited Royal Oak Bowls Club as part of their learning towards NCEA Achievement Standard 92019. For many students, this was their first experience of lawn bowls. The session gave them the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sport, develop new skills and apply their learning in a practical setting.
Students will return to the club for further sessions throughout the term as they continue to develop their skills and understanding as part of their Physical Education programme. A big ngā mihi to Hannah from Bowls Auckland and John from Royal Oak Bowls for sharing their expertise and providing this opportunity for our students.
