Celebrating our Filipino students, staff, language and culture.
Mabuhay! This week, Onehunga High School celebrates Filipino Language Week and the language, culture and heritage of our Filipino students, staff and families. Throughout the year, our Language Weeks provide opportunities for students to lead, participate and learn more about the many cultures represented at our school.
Filipino Language Week is an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate our Filipino community at OHS. We are proud of our Filipino students and staff and the contribution they make to our school. The week also recognises the importance of language in maintaining cultural identity, connecting generations and sharing the stories and achievements of Filipino communities.
Maligayang Linggo ng Wika! Happy Filipino Language Week from the OHS Cultural Council.
