Sargam School of Indian Music gave our full school assembly an incredible live performance.

Today, our full school assembly was treated to an incredible live performance by musicians from the Sargam School of Indian Music. Students had the opportunity to hear a range of traditional Indian instruments and experience the skill and musicianship involved in Indian classical music.

The performance introduced students to different instruments, sounds and musical traditions and was enthusiastically received by the school. With our students representing such a wide range of cultures, opportunities like this are an important part of celebrating the diversity of Onehunga High School and allowing students to share and experience different cultural traditions.

A huge thank you to Basant Madhur, Sargam Madhur and the Sargam School of Indian Music for sharing their music and expertise with OHS. The performance was also a fantastic way to launch our new OHS Bollywood Group, providing another opportunity for students to get involved in cultural performance and contribute to the growing range of cultural groups at our school.
