Anna is an outstanding young person who consistently demonstrates our WAKA values. She is respectful, responsible and hardworking, and approaches both her learning and other commitments with maturity and determination. She has already achieved NCEA Level 1 with an Excellence endorsement, an impressive accomplishment that reflects her strong work ethic, commitment to learning and high expectations of herself. Outside the classroom, Anna is an exceptional diver who has achieved outstanding results at both national and international levels.
Her success in high level sport requires tremendous discipline, perseverance, courage and resilience. She has shown an impressive ability to balance the demands of competitive diving with her academic responsibilities. What makes Anna particularly deserving of the WAKA Award is not only her achievements, but also the way she conducts herself. She is humble, respectful and considerate towards others, and is a positive role model for her peers. Her dedication, character, academic success and sporting achievements make her a truly deserving recipient of this week’s WAKA Award.
