Another win has secured the team a place in the next round.

Our OHS Debating Team continued its excellent season with another win in the final round of competition last night. The result takes the team through to the semi-finals, where they will face De La Salle College’s top team. 

Competing for OHS last night were Ja-bez Halasima (Year 12), Harley Taufelila (Year 11) and Cleo Milne (Year 12). Throughout the competition, the team has impressed with its ability to prepare arguments quickly, communicate ideas clearly and respond effectively under pressure. Their success has also reflected strong leadership, initiative, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Supporting the team throughout the competition are Mariam Osman (Year 12), Temo Saukuru (Year 12) and Keith Blake (Year 12). Together, the students have represented OHS extremely well and can be proud of reaching the semi-finals.

Congratulations to our debaters on another excellent result. We wish them all the best as they prepare to take on De La Salle in the semi-final.
