Quick thinking and creativity secured an outstanding Festival Night win.

Our Onehunga High School Theatre Sports team delivered an outstanding performance at last night’s Festival Night competition at St Kentigern’s College. Competing against St Kentigern’s College, Botany Downs Secondary College and King’s College, the team demonstrated quick thinking, creativity and excellent comedic timing across the evening.

Theatre Sports requires performers to create scenes and characters on the spot, responding to unfamiliar situations without a script. Reese Killpatrick, Ashton Mahy, Daniel Grange and Ruby Walsh worked extremely well together, responding confidently to each challenge and producing plenty of entertaining moments along the way.

When the final scores were announced, Onehunga High School topped the competition with 96 points to take first place. It was an excellent result for the team and reflected their ability to think quickly, take creative risks and work together on stage.
