Congratulations to Liam on his national tournament success and selection for the New Zealand Under 16 team.

Onehunga High School Year 11 student Liam Herbert achieved an excellent result during the school holidays, competing at the Under 16 National Ice Hockey Tournament, where his team finished third overall.

Following the tournament, Liam attended a training camp with the New Zealand Under 16 Ice Hockey team in preparation for the upcoming Pan Pacific Tournament in Queenstown, scheduled for 28 October to 2 November. His selection is an outstanding achievement and an exciting opportunity to represent New Zealand.

Unfortunately, Liam sustained a concussion while playing and is currently recovering. His participation in the Pan Pacific Tournament will depend on receiving medical clearance.

We are very proud of Liam's achievements and his selection for the national team. We wish him a full recovery and hope he will be able to represent New Zealand in Queenstown later this month.
